New Naka Neighborhood

All alliterations aside, this post is to talk about Naka Kon 2012, which I attended.

First and foremost, the con had a new location!  The old location had its benefits, so there are some mixed feelings about that.

Old Location PROS
-Connected via tunnel to a mall with a food court, so that there's no need to go outside during the entire stay.  Since the con is usually in Febraury, a wintery month, that's definitely a nice advantage.
-Actually... that's pretty much it, aside from familiarity.  After you go to a con at the same location a few times, you start to memorize where each room is, and you don't have to look at a map anymore.  But don't take this to mean that the old location had no or few advantages, because not needing to go outside, when your costume may consist of very little or at least not much that's warm is really huge.

Old Location CONS (heh heh, con cons)
-Naka kon is a fastly growing convention and with the old location being right in downtown Kansas City, the hotel it was hosted at got plenty of business without the con's help.  The con people filled up every room so that there weren't many rooms for normies, and on top of that, normies were wierded out by the con people, and complained over the stay.  In other words, the hotel was not very happy with us.
-Naka Kon is a fastly growing convention, and even though the hotel it was at was not small by any means, it was getting to the point that they just couldn't hold all the con-goers anymore.
-To abide by the hotel and normies will, Naka Kon was becoming a very strict con, rule-wise.

New Location PROS
-The new location is specifically a convention center, separate (for the most part) from any hotels.  We can be as weird and loud as we want to at the con, and the limitations on such have been laxed just a bit.
-The new location is MUCH BIGGER, which is good because Naka Kon is growing a lot faster than I had originally seen.  Even with the new location, there was a cap on registration.

New Location CONS
-The hotel that Naka Kon used is not directly a part of the convention center.  It has a single connected hallway, that our group didn't even discover until the second day.  Perhaps it would have been easier, had we been able to stay at that hotel, but that brings us to the second point.
-The Sheraton associated with the convention center is slightly smaller than the previous hotel.  It may have been mostly devoted to hosting con-goers, and less complainy about it, but with part of the reason that we needed a new location being that there wasn't enough room, that posed some problems.  Also, part of the Naka Kon contract with the ability to use the convention center, was that they were not allowed to create deals with overflow hotels. (This may not be one-hundred percent accurate.  Con gossip is shady business.)
-The hotel that is right next door is NOT connected at all to the convention center.  It was fortunate that it was right next door, but having to walk a few yards outdoors in the winter is not fun.
-Finally, limited food availability.  There were a couple of places that, during certain hours of the day, you could purchase food at the con... and I'm certain that to those who stayed at the Sheraton, there was a con suite available... but for everyone else, you had to fend for yourself, and if you happened to have the time and hunger during the hours that everything within the convention center was closed, you had to venture outside to feed.  While that is the norm for many cons, it was not so at the previous location, at least not as much.

I think I approve of Naka's decision to move.  There was definitely a need to change location.  On the other hand, I don't think the convention center is quite the location we need.  It is closer, and perhaps if the schedulers had made better use of the rooms they had, it would have been nicer, but with the con growing as rapidly as it is, we need something even bigger.

Now, on to other aspects of the con!

The panel selection was sadly sparse this year, but that isn't entirely the con's fault.  If few people decide to run panels, then you must deal with the panels you have.  I enjoyed the brony panel, the Mii plaza panel, and the game show panels the best.  I'm finding that I'm growing more bored with Tales of Con Horror panel, mostly because repeat guests tell the same stories over and over, and new guests don't have as many stories to tell.  Still, it resulted in many jokes about Kansas being "a comfortable place to ejaculate" which got so overused, but is still somehow funny. I also enjoyed how the 18+ panels were in a separate part of the convention center, so that you didn't have to check badge right outside every single door.  Idea! There should be a small area in the convention center totally dedicated to 18+, and it just be a place for adults to hang out without the small and innocent.

Boyfriend tried to enter the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 tourney and was put on a waitlist.  I think that bigger con should also equal bigger game room and bigger planning for tournaments.  There should not be a huge waitlist for a gaming tournament, in my opinion... and if you expect there will be, then there should be some warning and perhaps pre-elimination so that the tournament is actually between those who have skill and is interesting.

On the subject of the gameshow panels previously mentioned, I tried to enter the Anime Press Your Luck show, and failed.  I *did* get into an audience game, but what I failed to realize until it was too late was that any prizes during an audience game are nullified, and all I got was a lousy T-shirt. (That seems to happen to me a lot...)

I didn't attend the cosplay contest, but I did see some pretty awesome costumes!  Unfortunately, I derped and didn't get pictures. Except for this one:

I tried to get more of a side picture so that you could see more detail, but she kept moving.  Let me just say, it was very impressive, especially the hair and legs. And SOFT!

I'm always open to answering more questions, but...

Until next time,

It weel not break! It weel not br- ..oh.. it broke.

Aladdin references aside, I did think I ought to mention that the air-dry clay was put to the test, and it failed.  JUST as I was getting out my painting supplies... the horn fell off my pony.

So, I need a new sculpting material.  Other, more professional artists have been recommending epoxy?  I don't really know much about it.  They claim it's easy to use, but considering the cost of the material, I really want to be sure before buying.  Advice would be appreciated.

Until next time,

The Custom BB Pony Experiment - Luna Edition - Step One

Since one of my favorite characters from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is Princess Luna, I decided to try and make a custom Blind Bag Pony, from some non-cannon bb ponies donated to me by a friend, and a couple that I bought myself.  Not wanting to ruin his ponies, should I fail, I began with Sugar Grape.

Step One is: Add horn and crown.

I'm a little anxious.  I just finished constructing them, which was far more difficult than I expected, due to how small they are... and I'm waiting for the air-dry crayola clay to dry.  I'm very concerned that the material of choice is too brittle, and will break when I try to paint.

So far, it doesn't look too impressive, but 99% of attempters would agree that this is probably the hard part.  The original picture reference I had for a completed BB Luna had fixed the hair to be more like hers... I think I'mma wait to do that until I'm a little more advanced... if I do that at all.  I've seen other BB Lunas without the changed hair, and they look just as good, so my concern has dropped on that end.

Here's how it looks so far:

I've also noticed that adding the horn and crown has made her a little topheavy, and she tends to fall over a lot.  I might have to stuff some clay in the little hole in her hoof to balance things out a bit.

Just did.  Seems to help a touch.

Also, I've been updating my DeviantArt a little more, recently, and have been participating in Equestria Daily's Mock War challenge, if anyone is interested.

Until next time,

The Simple Costumes

Here are some ideas for men and women for cosplaying, that are fairly quick and easy to put together.  I know that for some, crossplaying is possible, but in case you're like me, and you really can't look like a guy (or are a guy and vice versa), I've got an equal amount of male and female simple costume ideas for you, today.. plus a couple of easy group ideas!

MALE

Character: Ichiro
Source: Nerima Daikon Brothers
Distinguishing Features: short brown hair, black pants and suit jacket, blue collar shirt, black tie, snazzy hat, optional panda.
This one is actually a bit complicated, unless you already own a couple of components... but I figured, many people wishing to cosplay this one, wouldn't even have to buy a wig, which saves quite a bit of money.  Also most men already own a suit of one kind or another, as they come in handy.  Then really all you need is a blue callar shirt and a snazzy hat.. and possibly a panda.

Character: Shigure
Source:  Fruits Basket
Distinguishing Features:  short black hair, greyish robe, blue/black belt, optional black pointed doggy ears
This one is as about as simple as you can get.. Grey robe. Black belt.  Seriously. You don't even need shoes (although most cons frown upon bare feet) So you might wanna wear slippers... make them puppy slippers. It'd be funny.

Character: Keitaro
Source: Love Hina
Distinguishing Features: Short brown/black hair, glasses, and optional turtle.
While he has a couple of recognizable costumes, he doesn't really regularly dress the same.  Therefore the most distinguishing thing about him is the turtle.

Character: Ryu
Source: Street Fighter
Distinguishing Features: White ghi with the arms ripped off, black belt, red headband, and red gloveythingies.
Not all cosplays have to be from anime!  Video games are also popular among otaku.

Character: Hideki
Source: Chobits
Distinguishing Features:  He has brown/black hair and sometimes wears a green sweatshirt and blue jeans.  On his own, not too recognizable, but fortunately...

FEMALE

Character: Chi
Source: Chobits
Distinguishing Features: Freakishly long blonde hair and white/pink robot ears that have many simple online tutorials for making.
Fortunately, Chi is also a very simple costume, so if you want to go as a couple, try this simple cosplay pair.

Character: Panty
Source: Panty and Stocking
Distinguishing Features: Long blonde hair, red mini dress and shoes, bangley jewelry and pearl necklace, optional gun.
Her partner, Stocking, is not as simple a costume to make, but with the rising popularity of this series, I doubt you'd have to have her, in order to be recognized.

Character: Misty
Source: Pokemon
Distinguishing Features:  Ginger hair with a dorky side ponytail;short, light blue shorts, red suspenders, yellow tank.  It's only slightly more difficult than a generic Team Rocket costume. ;-)

Character: Ponyo
Source: Ponyo
Distinguishing Features: Ginger hair, red dress, ridiculously puffy white bloomers.
This one is good for a kid, too!

Character: Namine
Source: Kingdom Hearts
Distinguishing Features:  White dress, midlength blond hair, blue sandals.

GROUP IDEAS - EASY

Left4Dead
They dress like normal people, they're just bloody and carry weapons.

Hetalia
If their individual costumes are too hard, you can just each wear the flag of your chosen country.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
There's a lot of creative freedom, here!  You don't necessarily have to be ponies.

Ouran Host Club
Since, you all wear the same costume, and have different hair and personality flairs, it's fairly simple to get the costumes made, compared to other groups, at least.

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
There are a LOT of choices, and some of them are pretty simple to make.  It would make a fun group!

I hope this helps!

Until next time,

How to Attend Three Cons a Year

It may surprise you that since the first con I attended in 2009, I've been attending about 3 cons a year.  Nebraskon in the fall, Naka Kon in the winter, and a wild card each summer.  I'm likely to remain a regular at each Nebraskon and Naka Kon, unless one of them really ticks me off.  They are both good, fun, and generally reliable cons.  There is rarely a shortage of things to do, and certainly never a shortage of people.  And the cities they are locale to are generally places where there's other things to do, should the con for some insane reason bore you.  (Although I find that highly unlikely.)

Here's where things get tricky.  I live off of about $100 dollars a month.  During the summer, I am cared for by my parents, so most food and travel expenses are accounted for... and during the fall and winter, I live on the dorms, fed in the dorms, and within walking distance of almost any place I'd ever need to go.  But there are still considerations of personal wants/needs and holiday gifts to buy... and soon, since I'm getting my license... gas. (It will be difficult for me to figure this expense in when planning for cons.)  You may be trollin and rollin your eyes at me saying, "Just get a job."  But for various reasons, that isn't always possible for some con goers. (Myself included.)  So I'm going to share some of my not so secret secrets to attending cons when you're poor.

First: Odd jobs.  I was mowing lawns and trimming weeds before I was twelve. (I don't remember exactly when I started.)  That got me 30 dollars, if I did everything (20 for mowing, 10 for trimming).  Shoveling walks gets you at least 15.  Sometimes, your customers will even provide the tools for you, especially if you're asking such a reasonable price.  That is usually the most profitable.  But even if you're unable or unwilling to do such a muscle-intensive task, there are still ways to make an occasional buck.  Even in a household where chores are split up evenly and expected to be done without payment, most parents will still have something to offer if you ask for something to do for cash.  If not, what talents do you have?  I can draw.  I have a couple of friends who make cosplay weaponry.  And even a few that make costumes for pay.  Your talents can be used to your advantage, and your fellow con-goers are the perfect target.  That's why it pays to...

Make friends in the con-going community!  Trust me, if it weren't for my con-going friends, I would not be able to make more than one con in a year... and only that one because it's near to where I live.  For one thing, going to cons in a group is a L O T less expensive than trying to go on your own.  You split the cost of gas.  You split the cost of hotel.  And if you're really lucky, you can pull some favors, friendship bonuses, and dating privileges to get your registration paid for.  That's really only the minimum of what having friends in the community gets you, but the additional bonuses depend on the friend.  For instance, a friend that's good with making cosplay weaponry, will give you tips, help you make it, and sometimes even make it for you.  Same can be said for people in costume making.  And while they may charge you for the help, I can guarantee that it costs less than buying it professionally made online.

Speaking of costumes, if you don't have the skill, money, or friends to make a costume... try something simple.  You don't have to be cliche` and go as L.  Many anime characters have multiple outfits, and the only thing that makes them recognizable as that character are one or two distinguishing features.  If you can find or make those features for less, you have a simple costume that will still be recognized.  I have an example, I'll talk about in another post.

Speaking also of registration, whenever possible you should register early.  Not only does this save you a ton of time waiting in line to register at the con...

Where, yes, this really does happen...
But also, it can cost anywhere from 10 to 30 dollars less, depending on the con.

But before you do that, the most important thing of all is budgeting.  Now this is a difficult one, so I'll go through it step by step, using Naka Kon as an example.  The very latest I'd start planning for Naka Kon immediately after Nebraskon.  Naka Kon is in February, and Nebraskon is in November.  Assuming I end November with 0 dollars, and that I won't have any more than 100 dollars at the beginning of each month, the most I could possibly have by Naka is 300.  Now that's pretty unrealistic.  I'd have to spend a bit to get X-mas gifts for people, even if I spent absolutely nothing on myself... And knowing that a con was coming up so soon, I'd likely do some of those odd jobs I mentioned earlier.  This is just an estimate.  Next, I add up all that I would spend at Naka, including my share of the hotel room in a worst case scenario, which is 85, my registration assuming that I don't prereg, which is 50, food for 3 days, which is at least 40, my share of gas money, which is 20, and the minimum amount I'd want for self spending, which is 50.  (That last bit is really flexible. Oftentimes, I'll go with only enough to eat, and no spending money.)  This totals out to 245.  Sticking to previous assumptions, that means that for those three months between, I can spend no more than 18 dollars a month.

There is a lot of flexibility here.  If you preregister, your total for naka drops to 235, and your monthly max is 21.  If another person goes and helps with the hotel room, the naka total drops to 214, and your monthly max is 28... And say you do some of those aforementioned odd jobs and earn 20 dollars a month, that is an extra twenty you can add directly to your monthly max.  You can possibly spend more than your max in case of emergency, but know that it comes out of your next month's max.

The hardest part about all of this is sticking to your budget.  When you know you have 100 dollars, it's hard to pass up a 40 dollar video game to buy Christmas gifts for your family.  When you know you have 180, it's hard to spend your max on gas and not go to the movies with your friends.  When you know you have 260, it's hard to eat boring food at the dorm so you can pay for college supplies.  But you should be starting to learn now, how to do it.  Because you'll be budgeting from the moment you leave the security of college until you're cared for in an old folk's home.  And it won't be any easier to stick to it then, just because you're a motherf*cking adult.

Until next time,

OMG I Can Has Catboy has an UPDATE?!?!?!1?!!/?

Ya, really! We has an update!

First, I would like to introduce 'Yellow' a side comic I started on a whim that I may not actually keep.  The original idea was that I wouldn't have to put as much effort into these comics as I do into Silver Ankh, and thus would give you an update more often... but it turns out it is almost as much effort to do and the results are less satisfactory.  However, the idea I have for the story is one that I don't want to give up on...  So we'll see.

Secondly, my brother has entered a contest!  Neil Gaiman, one of my favorite authors, will choose someone to voice his audio book among the top twenty people voted on the website.  You must register to vote, but you can vote once a day.  Please, support my brother!

I'm sure I had another point of updateyness, but I lost it...

So, until next time,

Naka Kon 2011

As always, while I had my camera along, taking pictures seems to be the one thing I always seem to forget.  So here are some of the costumes I found to be impressive...  There were many many more, but I was too caught up in having fun to pause every ten minutes to take a picture.  Please enjoy!

He was particularly good at moving like a nobody, too!

Amazing Portal gun! It even changes color depending on the portal type!  The only thing that disappointed me was, he didn't have time to make the leg braces to add to his costume.

Raptor Jesus!

He said he was getting a lot more attention than he thought he would.

I found this to be a fairly impressive costume from Halo.

Gir!!! And his little piggy friend.

I told him he was missing a tail.  He agreed.

I know a particular person or two from anime club who would appreciate this.

I was told to get pictures of Final Fantasy characters by some of my friends.

He was later seen in the Yaoi panel.  Said while some believed he had a giant sword to 'compensate', what they don't realize is that it is actually a giant yaoi panel.  He flipped the sword over to reveal the word yaoi. ^-^

This David Bowie costume was amazing, I had to get a picture.  She suggested that I take a picture with her, and there was a slightly awkward moment when I thought she was going to kiss me.  I normally wouldn't have minded, but Domi was in the restroom, and I thought he might have had a few choice words with me about waiting for him if I was going to yuri.

Considering the impressive Jack Skelington cosplay I took a picture of last year, I thought it only appropriate to find his match.

As a pirate, meself, how could I resist capturing the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow on camera?

All in all, I'm very happy with Naka Kon.  It had a large turnout and many interesting panels.  The con staff are friendly and there was, most times, something to do.  I always recommend Naka Kon for those interested in going to cons, but that doesn't mean I didn't have any complaints.

Firstly, the Pirates Vs. Ninjas panel was missing!  As a pirate, I find it extremely important to defend my standing in the pirates vs. ninjas debate, especially at a con, where my anime reputation may be at stake, considering ninjas seem to be in high favor round those parts.

Secondly, the cosplay chess got cancelled.  It is not difficult to run a panel where people play chess!  Also, the time that it was originally set for was very early in the morning, making it less likely that people would come.

My final major complaint has nothing to do with the con, but rather with the hotel it was held at.  The website told me there were two bed rooms still available when I ordered tickets, but when we arrived I realized that I had been fooled into buying a king bedroom rather than a double.

Still, compared to how awesome Naka Kon is, these complaints seem very minor.

If you have any questions about Naka, or anything in general, just let me know! I live for me fans. ;-)

Until next time,

Sickle and Scythe

In choir, today, we were going through a song that included a phrase something along the lines of "To conquer the fields with sickle and scythe" and we had a very brief moment stating that sickle and scythe were field tools.  It reminded me of actual conversations I've had with people about what a sickle or a scythe was.

"What's a sickle?"

A sickle is a small scythe with a short handle, so it's more precise.

"What's a scythe?"

Sickles and scyhtes are field tools, used for harvesting wheat.

"But I thought a scythe was that thing that one skeleton dude carries."

"Yeah. Like that."
When the image of Death holding a scythe was created, it was meant to portray to commonfold the idea that Death harvested souls the way farmers harvested grain.  They were trying to make the idea of death LESS scary.  So if you find that hard to imagine, think about a skeleton holding a hoe or a garden spade, instead.

Like this guy.  Totally Death.  Totally not scary.
...Still badass, though.
"Wow this is neat! I never knew any of this.  How did you know?  Were you raised on a farm?  Are you studying agriculture?"

No.  In fact, I've met a few people who *were* raised on a farm or who *are* studying agriculture who don't know this, or not all of it.

"So how do you know?"

I read fantasy stories a lot and play DnD.

4chan?

I have a question for all of you out there, and I'd very much like if you didn't judge me too badly.

Should I be proud or ashamed that I have never been on 4chan?

A lot of my friends and much of the online community says proud.  That 4chan is noobish and a plague on the interwebs. (And seeing the 4channess on the internet in several other places, I'd have to agree. Example below.)

WTF, Internet. WTF.
But I've got this feeling that I've missed out on something.  Kind of like how using Yahoo over Google and Myspace before Facebook are like rites of passage to being a mature interneter.  Everyone was a noob once, and if they are no longer a noob, they have learned from their noobhood and became not a noob.  I too went through my phase of 'tpn liek n idoit n usin nmbers 4 wrds' and posting a lolcat at any excusable opportunity.

No wait, I still do that.  But it's more because the cats are just so cuuute! >.> *ahem* Anyway...

So I feel like while it isn't a good idea for me to get involved in 4chan now, there's still a part of my internet life missing that I may never understand when other people reference it.  In fact, up until about a year ago, I thought that 4chan was a person not a website, which made a noob of me at the time.

I can own up to when I'm a noob in a situation, but that ability is already one step closer to achieving pwnage.  (Which I pronounce pawnage.  Yes, I'm aware it's supposed to be p'ownage. I'll make another post about this later.)

Anway, what is your opinion, readers?  Am I a priveledged individual to never have to suffer through 4chan noobhood?  Or am I a noob, now, for never having experienced this rite of passage to not a noob?

Until next time,
Cap'n Kyrie

December Project - FAILED

So you may have noticed that my Pokemon Profile Picture Month post has stopped updating.  This is because finals and life got in the way, and I am now much too far behind to try and catch up.  I may, next December, finish up the month, starting where I left off.

I almost didn't post anything today.  I feel guilty for pushing Jumblemash's post downward, but I can't just never update again, or else I'll lose the one readerI gained out of the post.

Which brings me to the next point of topic!  I have nine readers! Nine!  Nine is my favorite slash lucky number, so I feel very accomplished for reaching that point...  Even though I'd much rather have, say... 81 readers. (That's nine times nine.)

It's been dangerous to travel in my area.  Roads covered in ice, freezing wind and rain...  But surprisingly little snow.  There's still snow, but most precipitation has been freezing rain.  On top of that, despite the fact that most of the people in the city have been through several midwestern winters, the ratio of save drivers in the city and those who freak out in cold weather is one to OMGBBQ.  The reason I bring this up, is because I have family coming for Decemberween and Wintereenmas as I'm sure most people's families are, and I want them to arrive safely.  So everyone, if you have family traveling through snow and winter conditions, please make sure they know how to handle it.

Until next time,

Guest Post: JumbleMash

Ok, guest posting is scary, but because I love my bloggy friends, I agreed to post here at I Can Has Catboy?

The Cap'n gave me a few topics to pick from and I chose gaming, because well, I know more about it than the other topics she gave me.

In case you don't know, I am the author of Jumble Mash and I'm pretty much a geek. I am 25 years old and absolutely love gaming.

The Boyfriend and I have a Wii, PS3, and XBox 360 with the Kinect. My favorite console is the Xbox. My favorite games are Bioshock and Bioshock 2. I am absolutely and completely ecstatic that they are coming out with Bioshock 3, although I have to wait a long time.

I also play Halo 3 and Halo Reach a lot. I love getting online and all the guys are like "Girls can't play Halo" and then I completely kick their butts. I am good at it, but it's because I've put many hours into it.

I'm also am a WoW geek and cannot wait to play Cataclysm!

BUT something that we've recently gotten into that takes no console at all and is actually fairly cheap, even if you decide you want to buy all the expansions, and that is Munchkin.

Munchkin is a funny role-playing card game. You are dealt eight cards at the beginning and hope like Hell you get some armor or some weapons. You can even get dealt Class and Race cards. For instance you can be an Elf Warrior. Each Class and Race has its own special abilities and things that help you through battle.

Each player's turn begins by "Kicking open a door." You basically turn over a card, if there is a monster, you fight it, if not you can either draw another card or choose to fight a monster from your hand. Fighting a monster and winning allows you to level up. First player to reach level 10 wins.

When Boyfriend first introduced me to this game, I thought I would hate it. I'm not much into role playing games, but I am ADDICTED to this game. I LOVE IT! And the more people you have, the funner it is.

I just have to get more of my friends to play.

Anyone?

Pokemon Profile Picture Month

As many of you know, December is Pokemon Profile Picture Month.  Essentially, you make a pokemon your facebook profile picture for all of December.  Well, I've taken it one step further.  For every day, I'm going to draw a combination of two or more different Pokemon, essentially creating a Pokemon that doesn't exist.  That will be my profile picture for the day. It's sort of like an advent calendar.  I'm taking requests from all of my friends and readers, so if you really want to see a combo, post a comment!

Day One:
For day one, since no one yet knew my plan, I chose to combine a shiny mew and pikachu, since they are my two favorite pokemon ever.  Behold: Pikamew!
Pokemon: Mew and Pikachu
Completed?: Yes.
Picture:

Day Two:
One of my friends requested this combo, stating that it would be cute.  She was right!  Behold: Celachi!
Pokemon: Celebi and Jirachi
Completed?: Yes
Picture:

Day Three:
An elegant combination, in my opinion.  Decide for yourself.  Behold: Persionair!
Pokemon: Persian and Dragonair
Completed?: Yes.
Picture:

Day Four:
Domi requested this, thinking that I would be putting the two pokemon in the same picture, not combining them.  Even so, I thought it was intriguing, so I decided to try.  I'm not as happy with this one, but I did my best. Here is: Taureotto!
Pokemon: Pidgeotto and Tauros
Completed?: Yes.
Picture:

Day Five:
For those fans of Eevee evolutions.  Sorry it took so long.  I had a busy day.  I am, however, particularly proud of this one.  Behold: Umbresp!
Pokemon: Espeon and Umbreon
Completed?: Yes.
Picture:

Day Six:
This was one of the many suggested to me by another friend.  It seemed interesting and challenging.  I found out, as I was drawing, that there is a bit of debate over which one is cuter.  Now, you don't have to decide!  Behold: Jigglysaur!
Pokemon: Bulbasaur and Jigglypuff
Completed?: Yes.
Picture:

Day Seven:
While we're on the subject of Eevees, I thought I'd design an Eevee evolution that doesn't yet exist. Behold: Spookeon!
Pokemon: A ghost type eevee evolution.
Completed?: Yes
Picture:

Day Eight:
Another friend's request.  It was a lot more challenging than I expected.  Sorry it's a little late.  Behold: Charigatr!
Pokemon: Charizard and Feraligator.
Completed?: Yes.
